Today, getting a "Verified Buyer" badge requires you to log into an account. This links your public review directly to your private email, real name, and purchase history. Your data is harvested, profiled, and often sold.
VERA Vault decouples verification from identity. Using advanced privacy math, VERA mathematically proves you own a valid receipt for a product, completely anonymously. You get the badge; they get zero personal data.

During checkout, the merchant creates a Secure Digital Receipt. Think of this as a highly secure, digitally signed pass. It contains the Product ID and a signature proving the merchant issued it.

The merchant sends this receipt directly to your VERA Vault browser extension. It is stored locally on your computer. It is never uploaded to a central VERA server or cloud database.

Weeks later, you decide to leave a review. On the merchant's website, you type your review and click the "Verify Anonymously with VERA" button. The website asks your Vault: "Can you prove this user bought this item?"
Your Vault looks at the receipt and acts like a digital bouncer. It generates an Anonymous Verification Pass. This proves the receipt is authentic and matches the product, but it mathematically strips away your identity, email, and order number.

Only the anonymous pass and your review text are sent to the merchant. The merchant verifies the pass. Your review is published with a "Verified Buyer" badge, but your identity remains completely unknown.

The raw receipt is mathematically locked and rebuilt into an anonymous verification pass. It is impossible to reverse-engineer this pass back into your receipt or identity.
